Will the tour go ahead in bad weather?

Yes, always, unless the Dutch weather institute KNMI has given off a so-called code orange or code red alert. In that case you may move your tour free of charge. If that is not possible, then you will be refunded 50% of the sum paid.

Are the tours accessible for disabled people?

The tours cover a distance of 2 to 3 kilometers over good roads. There is a food stop roughly every 15 to 20 minutes where seating is usually available, but not guaranteed. If you use an assistive device such as a Zimmer frame or a walker, or if you use a wheelchair or mobility scooter the tours are not suited to you. However, if you contact us, we will gladly discuss the possibilities for a private, customized tour for you; we strive to maintain our friendly prices for these tours.

Until when can I cancel?

You can cancel a booking up to two weeks before your tour date free of charge. After that it is at 50% of the total sum paid.

Can I move my tour date?

Up until 24 hours before your tour date you can choose a different tour date at no extra cost, subject to availability.

Which language is spoken on the tours?

All our regular tours are in English. For private tours Dutch is always possible and we offer the options of French, Spanish or German subject to availability.

Are the tours suitable for children?

The Jordaan Afternoon Tour is suitable for all children. During busier hours of the day, you may have to take young children out of their stroller at the food stops. The Rijksmuseum Day Tour and the Saturday Morning Market tours are less suitable for children under the age of 8.  We also offer customized family food tours that are fun for everyone. Can we store our luggage during the tour?

For the Jordaan Afternoon Tour and the Saturday Morning Market Tour you can usually leave one or two cases behind at the starting location, but this is unattended and entirely at your own risk. Please contact us in advance if you would like to do this. There are multiple companies in Amsterdam where you can take your luggage for safe keeping at a fee, including Amsterdam Central Station.

Which allergies can you cater for during the tour?

When you book, you will be given the option to state any dietary restrictions you may have. We will provide alternatives, but taking part in the tour is at your own risk at all times.

Are the tours suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

The tours can cater perfectly for vegetarians (with or without fish); for vegans however, the offer of replacements for our typically Dutch food are extremely limited and therefor our regular tours are not suitable. Can I hire the guide for other tours as well?

Yes, absolutely! All our guides are incredibly experienced and have numerous other wonderful tours of Amsterdam they can give you.
