On this tour, you will have a full dinner in four stages. Starters, main course, and sweet and savory desserts are served at different locations. This allows you to see some of the city between courses. And to experience the vibes and flavors of different places.
All the food is typically Dutch or has a strong Dutch connection through the use of Dutch products and ingredients with a modern and international twist. But it is not only the food that makes this a uniquely Dutch experience. It is also the choice of iconic venues that you visit on the tour. For example, you might have a starter at the former headquarters of the Dutch West India Company or enjoy your main course at the same place where the current Dutch King and Queen were married.
Throughout the Walking Dinner Tour, your guide will be there to answer questions about the food and the city and to ensure that you have the best possible culinary experience in Amsterdam.

Walking dinner menu
The menu of the Walking Dinner Tour is variable, since menus change throughout the seasons. To give you an idea of what you can expect, here is a good example of the type of food you will be served:
- Welcome drink with hot and cold Dutch snacks such as ‘bitterballen’
- Starter of Duck confit with Amsterdam onions and Dutch ‘suikerbrood’ (‘sugarbread’)
- Main of Dutch ‘Ossenworst’ (‘ox sausage’), sweet and sour cauliflower, radish, and sourdough croutons
- Dessert of Dutch cheeses

At each location, you will be served a drink that is included in the price. The standard drinks options include Dutch beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. You can also choose to upgrade the type and quantity of drinks.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation is free of charge and refundable up to 14 days before the tour starts, with the exception of reservation costs (10% of the total price).
The tour was really good and amazing food, especially as I have quite a few intolerances. The company was really good in providing history with the food. Thijs was very accommodating and our tour guide was brilliant. Thanks guys!

Our guide Mark was excellent. His deep knowledge of the history of Holland and Amsterdam in particular was top notch. Sharing his knowledge of Amsterdam from its early days of it being a commercial power in merchant trade and how this influenced the cuisine and culture of Amsterdam to this day. We visited small shops with expertise in traditional local foods. From apple pie made with apples only found in Amsterdam to an excellent cheese shop whose cheese master recently was awarded the world gold medal. I cannot more highly recommend this tour if you are both a foodie and history buff as me 🙂
My wife and I had a great time on this food tour. We learned a lot about the history and culture of the area, and we tasted a variety of delicious foods. Catharina was a fantastic tour guide, very personable, and a true local, as evidenced by the various passers-by greeting her as we walked around Jordaan. I highly recommend this tour!

Enjoyed this tour, travelling solo it was an opportunity to taste local food, gain an insight into local culture and help find my way around. Tony’s Chocolonely shop was fun.
